The association presents the State Taxidermist Achievement Award to the Best of Show runner-up at each participating state and regional show. Request it for your show here.
The plaque reads “The National Taxidermists Association presents the State Taxidermist Achievement Award, for Best of Show Runner Up.” It is engraved with the winner’s name, the date and the place of the show.
A state or regional association asks the NTA for the award, then presents it at its own show to the taxidermist whose piece took Best of Show runner-up.
In 2026 the award went to 34 taxidermists across the country. See the 2026 winners.
