The National Taxidermists Association is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1972. We are the meeting ground where the trade sets its own standard — in the judging room, in the seminar hall, and on the show floor.
The NTA is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote the art of taxidermy, to protect the freedom to hunt, and to promote wildlife conservation.
Those three lines have carried the association through more than half a century. Everything else we do — the championships, the seminars, the code of ethics, the trade floor — exists to serve them.

Anatomy, locomotion, correctness of specimen and degree of difficulty — measured openly against the best work in the country, and taught hands-on to whoever wants to learn it.

Protecting the rights of taxidermists and the freedom to hunt — uniting professionals, suppliers and sportsmen, and advocating within the law for positions that benefit them all.

Advancing education in taxidermy and wildlife conservation, so that every mount is both a record of an animal and an argument for the habitat it came from.
All board members and officers hold a duty of loyalty, a duty of care, and a duty of good faith and fair dealing to the NTA, as required by law. Roster as of 1 October 2025.
