Every member agrees to the NTA Code of Ethics. Misconduct consequences may include revocation of membership.
The association's Code of Ethics comprises seven core principles and a pledge. Every member agrees to it on joining, and competitors must be in good standing at the time of registration.
Serve yourself and NTA interest by acting as a responsible advocate, providing a voice in the industry regarding ideas, facts and viewpoints.
Members must adhere to the highest standards of accuracy and truth in advancing the interests of the taxidermy industry.
Members will acquire and share specialized knowledge, and advance the profession through continued professional development, research and education.
Hold myself accountable for my actions.
Be faithful to represented taxidermists while honouring obligations to the NTA.
Deal fairly with all other taxidermists, clients, employees, competitors and vendors, and respect differing opinions.
Promote healthy, fair competition while maintaining an ethical climate for learning and sharing.
The NTA operates under formal bylaws — establishing and operating under a Code of Ethics is one of the association's four stated purposes. All board members and officers hold a duty of loyalty, a duty of care, and a duty of good faith and fair dealing to the NTA, as required by law.
