Since we did not have enough entries – 6 teams of 3 competitors, Triple Warriors (called Triple Threat) was not held. With so much positive feedback during and after our LIVE contest, we plan on giving away even more money, showcasing all three categories!
LONE WARRIOR Minimum 10 competitors needed for contest to be held
DOUBLE WARRIORS Minimum 8 competitor teams needed for contest to be held
TRIPLE WARRIORS Minimum 6 competitor teams needed for contest to be held
Criteria WOW factor; degree of difficulty – added ‘points’ due to the four-hour mounting time limit, accuracy of species depiction, correctness of anatomy and locomotion, ingenuity in design and seamless execution, and dynamic pose for the species. Unfinished, partially finished, or finished bases are allowed.
What to Bring? Bring your own EVERYTHING! Though, we supply one table with plastic covering for Lone Category and two for all others.
Basic Spray Bottles with water are allowed.
Please bring plastic or tarp to work on.
May competitors enter with a fish? Yes, with a fish blank or mount! By our host hotel’s restriction, no spraying/airbrushing is permitted, though any fish competitor may be escorted outside to clear coat.
How prepared may I be?
Skin & Form As much prep as you would like! Tanned Skins Only.
Eyes Cannot be set. Setting and clay work must be done during contest. No premade eyelid parts may be used.
Ears Earliners may be fitted but not installed until contest. Bondo/Filler methods is very acceptable. Premade earbutts are allowed but cannot be attached to the form.
Mouth & Nose Premade fleshy parts are allowed and may be installed prior to contest.
Beaks, Bills, and Feet Premade parts are allowed. Wattles, combs, airsacks, etc., permitted. Eye-rings permitted.
